The laser can be used instead of or in addition to the dental drill to treat tooth decay (cavities). It can also be used to treat tooth fractures, tooth gumline abrasions (notches), and to treat advanced gum disease (periodontal disease). Lasers promote a comfortable form of treatment that can eliminate the need for the use of scalpels, sutures, and decrease post-operative discomfort. Lasers reduce the chance of infection and swelling due to minimally invasive techniques. In most cases, the laser can be used without the need for numbing.
Laser dentistry is a high-tech alternative to traditional dentistry and we are proud to say Dr. Bouhana has been performing laser dentistry for his patients for ten years.
